Workshops, open house slated at senior center
The South Brunswick Senior Center will offer a workshop regarding veterans benefits April 27 at 12:30 p.m. Carl Asszony from the Middlesex County Veterans’ Services will provide information at the workshop.
The center will celebrate Older American’s Month and Senior Center Week with an open house May 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will feature the senior thespians rehearsing for an upcoming show, various demonstrations, tours, door prizes and refreshments. A Guelaguetza Mexican dance performance will be May 3 at 3 p.m. at the center. Guelaguetza combines music, dance and song. Admission is free but tickets are required.
The center will offer an eight-week photography class Fridays, beginning May 7. Attendees must bring a camera to the first class. A classical concert by the group Classics for All will be May 15 at 11 a.m. The "Mr. Ray Show" of songs for children and adults will be May 11 at 10:30 a.m. "History First-Hand" will be May 12 at 12:30 p.m.
The 11th annual senior fashion show hosted by KT Boutique will be May 13 at 12:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded. "Swinging Into Spring" will be presented by the center’s thespians May 19 and 20 at 1 p.m.
