So. Brunswick Library book sale Oct. 25, 26

The Friends of the South Brunswick Public Library will hold the library’s fall book sale Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Oct. 26 from 1-4 p.m.

The Friends will accept donations of books in good condition, with drop-off deadline Oct. 24.

Volunteers are also needed to help set up, break down, bake for, or work at the sale.

Carl Maier and his collie Rusty will be at the sale Oct. 25. Rusty was named the National Red Cross Comfort Dog for therapy work with families who lost loved ones in the Sept. 11 attack on the World Trade Center. Maier will also discuss the children’s book "The Collie of Castle Hill," the true story of his adventures with his collie

Lucky, including how Lucky saved his owner from drowning. Autographed copies will be available for sale.

Any resident bringing this article to the sale will receive one free paperback with the purchase of $5 worth of books. The library is located at 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

For volunteer information, call Susan at (732) 329-6688.
