Lectures, pet show at
senior center during August

The South Brunswick Senior Center will offer the lecture "Understanding Annuities," Aug. 7 at 12:30 p.m. The program will cover types of annuities, what annuities are, and how annuities fit into individuals’ planning.

The first "Senior Pet Show" will be Aug. 14 at 12:30 p.m. The event will be preceded by a barbecue at noon. Cost is $2.25, and prizes will be awarded. An intergenerational event will be Aug. 28 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Seniors are invited to bring grandchildren or a child friend for the day, which will include a craft program, magic show and pizza. Lunch is free for children, and $2.25 for seniors. For reservations, call Karen at (732) 329-6171.

Feng shui classes will be held at the center Sept. 4 and 11, Oct. 2 and 9, and Dec. 4 and 11, at a cost of $5 per session or $25 for all sessions. An arts and crafts show will be Sept. 25, and is open to all South Brunswick seniors age 55 and older. All entries are eligible for raffle drawings.

The senior center Thespians are seeking volunteers for stage management and operation of spotlights for its October show. The South Brunswick Senior Club will sponsor a trip to Maine Aug. 7-11, and Atlantic City Aug. 20. For reservations or more information, call Lillian at (732) 422-9341.
