Cancer support group
to meet at Raritan Bay

The Jacqueline M. and Robert N. Wilentz Cancer Center at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge and Perth Amboy, will offer a support group meeting for individuals with cancer from 6-7 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the hospital’s Old Bridge division, off Ferry Road, between routes 9 and 18.

The meeting will provide a supportive environment where concerns and anxieties can be explored and coping skills enhanced. Medical and educational topics also will be addressed. Family members are welcome.

Admission is free, but advance registration is required.

Hebrew speakers club

to hold Aug. 24 meeting

The next meeting of the Chug Ivrit club for intermediate and advanced Hebrew speakers will take place at 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 24 at a private home in the Highland Park area.

Chug Ivrit is sponsored by the Raritan Valley Chapter of Hadassah. Meetings are free and open to the public. Men and women are invited.

Vendors sought for

Monroe flea market

Vendors are sought for a Friends of the Senior Center of Monroe Township flea market set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the Monroe Township municipal parking lot, off Perrineville Road. Rain date is Sept. 21.

Cost is $12 per space. Vendors should bring their own tables.

Smokey Mountains trip

The Middlesex County Retired Educators Association will sponsor an Oct. 26-Nov. 1 trip to the Smokey Mountains and Pigeon Forge region in Tennessee.

Cost is $720 per person, double occupancy; add $180 for single occupancy. Bus transportation is included.

St. Thomas HSA show

Crafters are sought for the St. Thomas the Apostle HSA Fall Craft Show and Bake Sale, set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the school auditorium, Route 18 south, Old Bridge.

Tables are available for rent at a cost of $15 or $30. Reservation deadline is Sept. 25.
