‘Living With Aphasia’ workshop June 28

The American Stroke Association, a di­vision of the American Heart Association (AHA), North Brunswick, will present "Living With Aphasia," June 28 at 9 a.m. The free workshop, held during Aphasia Awareness Month this month, will be at JFK Medical Center, Edison.

Aphasia is a total or partial loss of the ability to use words following stroke or other brain injuries.

Keynote address will be given by stroke survivor Stephen Goff, who has suffered with aphasia since 1994. The workshop will also feature therapies for aphasia, a panel discussion on job opportunities, and volunteering and resources for aphasiacs.
