Resident seeks to inform public about important election dates

In reference to the primary election and the many inquiries I have received concerning dates for filing, etc., I wish to share the following information, which I confirmed with the Middlesex County Board of Elections: April 14 is the deadline for changing party affiliation. May 5 is the deadline to register to vote. May 27 is the deadline for filing for absentee ballots, and June 3 is primary election day.

If an individual is registered but has never designated themselves a Republican or Democrat, they can do so at the time of the primary election.

North Brunswick residents can obtain applications and forms at the North Brunswick municipal building on Hermann Road.

For additional information regarding primary or general elections, voters can call the Middlesex County Board of Elections at (732) 745-3471.
