Chinese celebration
slated for Feb. 1 in E.B.
The Mid-Jersey Chinese School, East Brunswick, will celebrate its 40th anniversary and the Chinese New Year beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 at East Brunswick High School, Cranbury Road.
The event will feature Chinese foods, a carnival and an evening cultural show showcasing a Lion Dance, Chinese puppet and shadow shows, Chinese dances and marital arts, etc. Raffle prizes will include an Asia vacation package, furniture, a video/audio system and more.
The public is invited. Admission is free of charge.

Raritan watershed
summit set for Jan. 29
The Lower Raritan Watershed Management Area (WMA) will hold a Lower Raritan Watershed Summit from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Jan. 29 at the Middlesex County Planning Board, Elks Building, Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick.
Topics of discussion will include how to implement the watershed management plan; areas of responsibility, both geographical and issue-oriented; and commitments to necessary tasks for implementation.
All interested individuals are invited to listen, participate and get in involved in the process.

St. Paul’s youth group
to host spaghetti dinner
The Senior Youth Group of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, West Lakewood Avenue, Milltown, will host a spaghetti dinner from 5-7 p.m. on Feb. 1.
Tickets, which will be available at the door, cost $7 for adults and $4 for children under age 12; youngsters under age 5 will be admitted free of charge. All proceeds will benefit the youth group’s upcoming mission trip.
