Tickets now available for ‘Celebrate N.B. 2003’

Tickets are now available for "Celebrate North Brunswick 2003", which will be held Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.) at North Brunswick High School, Raider Road. Tickets are $40 for a family of four, or $12 per person.

The alcohol-free party will include refreshments, hats and noisemakers, a balloon drop at midnight, swimming, foosball, DJs, a comedy show, an adult comedy show, karaoke, a climbing wall, an MTV room for teens, and music by The St. Paul 7 and Jazz Pulse.

The event, sponsored by the township, is open to all, not just residents of North Brunswick. For more information or tickets, call (732) 297-1090, ext. 7.

Vendor spaces available for collectibles show

Vendor spaces are still available for a sports card and collectibles show hosted by North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 Dec. 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the firehouse at 600 Cranbury Cross Road.

Included will be sports and non-sports cards, collecting supplies, gaming cards, and graded sports cards. Proceeds will benefit the volunteer fire company.

Basketball association plans Atlantic City trip

The North Brunswick Basketball Association will sponsor a trip to Showboat casino, Atlantic City, Dec. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Cost is $25 which includes transportation, breakfast, and $16 back in coins. ‘Breakfast With Santa’ slated for Dec. 22

North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company No. 3, 1470 Cozzens Lane, will hold "Breakfast With Santa" Dec. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for children, and free for children age 3 and younger. Santa will arrive at 9:15 a.m.

The price includes a chance in a raffle, a picture with Santa, and hot and cold breakfast items. For more information, call (732) 247-0922, ext. 223.

Abruzzi to sign copies of ‘2 Minutes’ on Dec. 14

Michael V. Abruzzi will appear Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 869 Route 1 south, North Brunswick. Abruzzi is the owner and chief instructor at Golden Tiger Karate, North Brunswick, and president of Help a Needy Kid (HANK). He will sign copies of his book 2 Minutes Can Change Your Life.
